Honest by Construction
Numbers you can defend in front of a skeptical room.
Workforce decisions get audited, funded, and challenged. So the honesty is built into the data layer, not promised in the marketing. Every figure carries its source, its as-of date, and its scope, and it reprints exactly the same months later. This is the whole reason Futureful exists the way it does.
The principles
Six rules the platform will not break.
These are enforced in code, checked by build gates, not left to a content reviewer to remember. A number that cannot show its work does not render.
01
Every number carries its source
Source table, as-of date, and scope, printed where the number lives, on screen and on paper. You never have to ask where a figure came from, because it is already there.
02
Floors, never estimates
A positive detection reads as at least N, not a made-up precise count. We would rather under-claim a real floor than publish a confident guess.
03
Undated data is disclosed, not blended
Postings without a reliable date are excluded from timelines and disclosed as excluded, never quietly averaged in to make a trend look smoother than it is.
04
Small numbers stay honest
Below-threshold cohorts suppress rather than mislead. No composite scores, no invented precision, and no person is ever reduced to a black-box ranking.
05
Scope is stated, not implied
Our reach figures are the universe we index toward, framed as scope, never presented as a live-queryable count. We show real numbers or an honest blank.
06
Minor-safe by construction
The talent engine is safe for minors by design, in the data layer, not just the interface. No seeker or minor personal data is ever exposed on an employer surface.
Where the numbers come from
Real instruments, named on the page.
We do not ask you to trust a proprietary index. The inputs are public, authoritative instruments, and we tell you which one is behind each number.
O*NET Interest Profiler
The assessment is a real U.S. Department of Labor interest instrument, not a personality quiz or a proprietary black box.
BLS OEWS wages
Wage benchmarks are area occupational medians from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, printed with their source and vintage.
Real postings, classified
Demand comes from real job postings, geocoded and classified by sector and seniority, deduplicated to real employers.
The Evidence Locker
Every brief persists the exact figures it cited and reprints them byte-identical months later, for any funder or committee.
See it, then decide
Open the demo and check our work.
The live demo shows real numbers with their sources attached, and an honest blank where the index is thin. Nothing is dressed up. If a figure cannot show its source, it does not appear.
